This is my rendition of an old style town in Western USA some time in the mid to late 19th
century. This picture conveys the crowd’s excitement as they witness the first train to ever
come through their town. This train signified growth and prosperity for the town and would
have been the first link to the rest of the country. The Rogers 4-4-0 locomotive is painted with
bright colours and is adorned with flags and ribbons, which was the normal practice for this
type of celebration.
